Maria Dutto, long-standing president of Opera Impiegate, an association founded by Father Agostino Gemelli in 1912 to assist women in difficulty arriving in Milan seeking work. She also served as diocesan president of Azione Cattolica from 1976 to 1983. Especially in those years, but also later on, she had the opportunity to meet and collaborate with Cardinal Martini, as she recalls in an interview with Lucia Capuzzi.
